It comes like a serpent that slithers through your mind. A dark ever-hanging tendril of smoke stalking at the corner of your vision. A soft whisper of lies mixing with truth until you no longer know what to trust. Certainly not yourself. After a time it almost becomes natural. The one constant in a world whose only other constant seems to be that of its forever shifting nature, and one day it will shift just right before you are swallowed whole, lost underneath its weight like that of a million tons of coarse gritty sand. Then the world above would move on. The seasons would continue their cycle. Family and friends would mourn before they continue their own lives until you were but a memory. Sometimes you think that would be better. In memories, people think of the best times. They don't remember the late night arguments or harmed egos. The disappointment. Hi, shadowkat here! A Writer of the female variety. You may be coming on to look at my stuff from Fanfiction.net, or maybe you've never heard of me. Regardless, welcome! :3

I came here after hearing my friends talk about it, and when I was given a challenge involving some of my favorite characters and a photo montage or whatever it could be called, I thought I might branch out from my normal hobby of Fanfiction writing and try some of my other skills out here.
